This boy is extremely good. He puts together a balanced package that can be challenging to find in Berks. Adam Conover said, “I would definitely use that boar.” Neil Mauck described him as “one of the heaviest boned Berks he has seen. He’s not just level, he runs uphill.” Walter is extremely correct, big bone, tall fronted, moderate frame, square, wide, super flexible, big wide-spread blades, long rump, and attractive muscle shape. According to his namesake, “…and that’s the way it is” (Walter Cronkite). Randy Shipley described King Indy as “the most unique Berkshire boar he has seen. Big feet, spread toes, big bone, square, sound, flexible, tremendous reach and drive, wide spread shoulder blades, big top, massive center body. This guy is like a crossbred.” Why talk about King Indy? Because these features describe his dad–Walter.

Tuff-E-Nuff is out of the last semen collection from Ready To Rumble. He is wide-chested with a cool extended head and neck. He is tall-fronted with a wide and level top. This guy is extremely good in his look, design and profile. He has correct wide-spread toes, good bone, and extremely flexible in his reach off his rear legs. This guy was not fed any show feed or Paylean. He was also running fence side with some gilts. He is a really good Hereford boar and we are excited to put this rugged-made Ready to Rumble son to work. We brought him home and he busted out of his pen because he wanted to get some action. Is he good enough? No he is Tuff-E-Nuff!

SQUARE * CORRECT * BALANCE

This is a really good boar. He is tall-fronted with a huge rib cage and top. He is correctly designed on a square and wide base. This guy has tremendous reach and flexibility on all four. We appreciate how he balances with his frame size and power. He has tremendous sow lines on both sides of his pedigree–Tyler Knight’s foundation female and Knobloch’s foundation female. Neon Cowboy and Hostile Takeover have been tested for meat quality.

We debated a long time about what to do with this guy because he has a bit more white than what we would like to see on a Berkshire boar. He was impressive as a young prospect, and so we decided to keep him intact. As he grew and matured, he continued to impress us and we are glad he still has his hardware. This boar is uniquely designed with a set of running gear that are truly set wide and he motors freely on all four wheels. He is tall-fronted, level-topped, and square-hipped. He is heavy boned and puts together a look that will make crossbred breeders take a second look. We think this guy has something to offer. His parents are pictured below – note they have excellent breed character.

Wheels Up 1-9 is a new genetic cross for the Berkshire breed. We appreciate the power and stoutness he delivers in a STYLISH and SLEEK DESIGNED profile. This guy is tall-fronted, bold-bladed and high in his head carriage coming at you. He is square on his big boned feet and legs. He is so good in his bone work and has tremendous stride length. We love the look of this guy going away from you. This guy has us excited as he is the first litter out of a Mount-N-Do x Who Knows What sow from Russell Kneese. She had 13 live pigs in her first litter. Combine her with King Indy and this guy could generate some stylish females with excellent feet and legs.

Walter 6-4 is a beast. He is really opened up and is one wide, thick, and powerful boar. He explodes out of his massive blades and carries true thickness through his rib, loin, and hams. In fact, this guy was fed zero Paylean. He is 100% natural muscle. He is square on all four corners, and motors well with a ton of product. He is a 3/4 sib to King Indy, and we are excited about the barrows this guy could generate.

Walter 6-6 is a close resemblance of his dad–Walter. He is heavy boned with wide-spread toes. He is correct on his angles and motors extremely well on all four. He is tall-fronted with a long level top. He has big blades and hams. This guy is a herd boar dream! An extra bonus is that this guy was fed zero Paylean. He is 100% natural muscle. He is a 3/4 sib to King Indy, and we are excited about the gilts this guy could generate.

TNT 7-1 is a very interesting boar. We used TNT on a line-bred King Indy sow to make some gilts. Instead, we had an entire litter of boars, and this mating really hooked up. This guy has tremendous stoutness and excellent structure. He is truly heavy bone and motors extremely well on all four. We appreciate his clean, level top and how well he balances up with a lot of power. We’ve had our eye on this guy for a while. We see him working either way–powerful barrows or show-type gilts.

Cobra 4-9 Berkshire Boar

Sire: Hostile Takeover

Dam’s Sire: Gary Coleman

Bred by: Grant, Nelson & Kedron Knobloch

Registration: 117254009

Sold: Private treaty – Thanks!

Cobra was named because of the many compliments he received. Specifically, Travis Perry shared, “The front half of your boar is one of the best I’ve seen for a Berkshire.”

Cobra is a stylish show-type boar. He balances up extremely well with a moderate frame size, attractive muscle shape, and excellent feet and legs. This up-headed boar has a clean head and neck, is opened-wide in his chest floor, explodes out of his blades, which flows into a jet-level top, big rib and powerful hip. This guy is super well-designed and takes big, long strides. He just floats…and runs around looking for a sow to breed. He is out of one of our best sows.

He missed a step getting off the trailer at the Indiana State Fair and he was tentative on his left leg…that’s how it goes sometimes. He placed 3rd in Class 2, but was clearly the powerhouse boar in the class. We brought him home and he is doing well now.

We had our eye on 4-10 before we weaned him. He stood out of this deep litter because of attractive profile–clean extended neck, tall at the point of his shoulder, level top, and long rump. We appreciate his extension, bigger than moderate frame size, and heavy bone. He has excellent feet and legs–the way we like to breed them. This guy is good…very good!

This boar impressed us as a young pig. He has a massive blade, big rib, and massive top. He is tall in his shoulders and he has a deep and wide center body. His structure is excellent and he is flexible on all four feet and legs…truly good structure with this much massive power. We feel this guy is going improve one’s herd with maternal traits. He is very docile and a big eater…which is why he earned the nickname, “Couch Potato.” His mother is an excellent productive sow.

Big center, big bone, structure & flexibility Two great pedigrees! Mother is a daughter of Fast Lane who sired the $50,000 Berkshire Legend at TopCut. Sire of litter a son of Time Bandit at LVS. Time Bandit 4-4 was 3rd at STC 2010 in the same class as the champion — his half brother. Littermate was the Grand Champion Berkshire Gilt at the 2011 Heart of Illinois Fair. See video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5I3PuVoubYA

We went to visit Time Bandit 6-11 when he was 23 months old. We were impressed. He had a big massive shoulder and top. He was structurally correct, square, and had good bone. Wayne was very happy with his boar.
