This boy is extremely good. He puts together a balanced package that can be challenging to find in Berks. Adam Conover said, “I would definitely use that boar.” Neil Mauck described him as “one of the heaviest boned Berks he has seen. He’s not just level, he runs uphill.” Walter is extremely correct, big bone, tall fronted, moderate frame, square, wide, super flexible, big wide-spread blades, long rump, and attractive muscle shape. According to his namesake, “…and that’s the way it is” (Walter Cronkite). Randy Shipley described King Indy as “the most unique Berkshire boar he has seen. Big feet, spread toes, big bone, square, sound, flexible, tremendous reach and drive, wide spread shoulder blades, big top, massive center body. This guy is like a crossbred.” Why talk about King Indy? Because these features describe his dad–Walter.

December, 2017 was really cold, and it took it’s toll on our herd boar, Danger Zone. After finding DZ as cold as the temperatures, we began searching for a replacement that would follow in Danger Zone’s footsteps. Although the Facebook live video was blurry, we took our chances on Burzlaff’s SWTC entry that he showed in Belton in 2018. Once we rolled him off the trailer, it was obvious that we found “the guy” that would fit the bill and occupy Danger Zone’s pen. The Director is stout, massive, correctly designed, loose-spined, and tall fronted. The Director is active with tremendous mobility, locomotion and athleticism. We believe The Director can make larger outlined barrows and correctly designed gilts. He has a tremendous mother–she was the high-selling and Reserve Champion Berkshire Gilt at the 2017 SWTC. She was also littermate to the high-selling and Champion Berkshire Boar (Stand Alone @ Conovers). The Director is ready to make things happen! Are you?

Danger Zone (Top Gun x Dropout) was the popular 1st in Class 4 boar we purchased from the Rourke Sisters at the 2016 World Pork Expo. This fault-free Berkshire has authentic power and correct bonework. Al Schminke called him a truck coming at you with a lot of product, shape and performance. He has tremendous width and dimension from the center of his blade and rump with a massive back and center body. We have confidence he will add more elevation and grow power in Berkshires.

Butch Cassidy 2-1 is one exciting new Berkshire boar. We purchased him online as a young pig. He impressed us when he was young, but he has blown us away as a mature boar. This guy is tall-fronted, level-topped, heavily muscled with tremendous feet and legs. He motors with ease and a long stride. A visitor shared, “He is one of the best Berkshire boars I have seen all summer. He probably stands next to Power to Inspire at SGI.” Wow! What a huge compliment. We have confidence that Butch Cassidy will correct a couple needs in the Berkshire breed: (1) level-top line, and (2) long and correct hip and hing legs. Berkshire Boar Speechless 1-8

Bred by: Rhett-Maverick Showpigs

Owned by: Knobloch Family Berks & Fly’n K Berks

Sire: Speak Now

Dam’s Sire: Double Barrell x Crusader x King Indy

DOB: 12/16/16

Registration: 144593008

Speechless was the best boar prospect in a deep litter of 11 pigs. Rhett and Maverick said this was quite easily the most consistent litter they have ever raised, and represent some of their very best to date! They sold 9 pigs out of this litter in the Spring of 2017 for $5930. Speak Now made a huge statement in 2016, and complemented this Double Barrel x Crusader x King Indy sow really well. This guy is a complete fault-free boar. He is awesome look and design with his heavy bone, jet-level square top, impeccable hip and set to hind legs, and very sound. He is a stylish looking, choke-necked, high head carriage boar. Love his look! We have received numerous calls / texts about this guy. We are excited to have him here in stud.

Sire was Champion Berkshire Boar of the 2015 Indiana State Fair and generated Keep Talkin’ ($60,000 Champion Berksire Boar at the 2016 STC, Austin Lane’s $22,000 2016 Champion STC Gilt, Juice It (purchased by Shipley), and 2016 NBS Berkshire Hog College Gilt

We bought this boar prospect from Armstrong Genetics for four reasons: (1) his pedigree; (2) his phenotype; (3) early reports that Black Out is generating; and, (4) the integrity of his owner. The is a son out of the Black Out boar that Armstrong purchased from Heimer. Black Out’s dam was a littermate to the champion Berk Barrow at 2015 Buckle (TX). Black Out is nearly a full brother to Back Home standing at Mauck’s–Black Out’s and Back Home’s dam were littermates and were both bred to NonTypical.

Littermate was Reserve Champion Bred & Owned at the 2017 STC

Littermate was 3rd in Class 6 and purchased by Shipley Genetics for $3,750

A Berkshire boar with great chest width is hard to find, but a Berkshire boar with great chest width and true rib shape is even harder to find and Manny does that so well! More moderate in his build, we like Manny as a great option for those prettier made females that need some mass and power! We invested in Manny because his mother is a Dropout daughter, which is a Time Bandit son that is similar genetics to our boar Walter.

There were a lot of boars at the summer type conference that offered a lot of different things, but there was no boar that offered as much width, depth and mass as the Neon Cowboy! This guy offers power from end to end, in a sound, stout made package. His massive top, and deep, thick hams balance out his wide open rib cage and deep, center body. Looking to make those Berkshire barrows, gilts and boars that light up the show ring? Neon Cowboy!

Revival is out of a sow that was the result of a frozen semen mating. Rolex was the cornerstone of Mauck’s foundation Berkshire genetics. This reach-back mating to a key Gary Coleman sow is the bottom side of this pedigree. Revival combines the correct design of the Rolex x Gary Coleman sow with a powerful and tall-fronted Bottoms Up boar. Revival is correctly designed on his feet and legs. He has heavy bone, massive rib, and a big top. This guy is really cool and he has a pedigree that is built for Berkshire breeders. We brought this boar home because we feel he has unique value to making the next generation of stout Berkshire females. You won’t find this pedigree anywhere else. Look in here!

Tuff-E-Nuff is out of the last semen collection from Ready To Rumble. He is wide-chested with a cool extended head and neck. He is tall-fronted with a wide and level top. This guy is extremely good in his look, design and profile. He has correct wide-spread toes, good bone, and extremely flexible in his reach off his rear legs. This guy was not fed any show feed or Paylean. He was also running fence side with some gilts. He is a really good Hereford boar and we are excited to put this rugged-made Ready to Rumble son to work. We brought him home and he busted out of his pen because he wanted to get some action. Is he good enough? No he is Tuff-E-Nuff!
